Abstract

In the current era, composite manufacturing continues to experience development, therefore this research was carried out using bentonite and TiO2 as raw material for making composite bentonite-TiO2 so as to increase the adsorption power of bentonite. The purpose of this study is to obtain a composite with the right ratio of bentonite and TiO2 to increase the adsorption power, so as to reduce the COD and BOD content of slaughter chicken slaughtering. and TiO2 then stirred at 1500 rpm. Then the treatment given is the ratio of the mass of bentonite and TiO2 with variations of 1: 1, 2: 1 3: 1, 4: 1, 5: 1 and stirring time of 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 minutes. Then the composite that has been made will be used for adsorption of COD and BOD of chicken waste liquid waste. So that the results obtained from the best composite results on variations of bentonite and TiO2 2: 1 and stirring for 30 minutes, with a decrease in COD of 47.87% and a decrease in BOD of 55.81%. The results of SEM analysis at 2000 times magnification can be seen from the diverse morphological forms of bentonite-TiO2 composites with a particle diameter of 20.0 µm.
